UK Impact

The WildHearts Schools Programme is a vital stage in our mission.

In collaboration with our Corporate Partners, we deliver a unique, engaging, and transformational education programme for school students. Through a combination of employability training, sustainability workshops, and mental health support, we are committed to empowering the next generation.

These learnings are showcased via two global events; The Micro-Tyco Innovate Competition and The WildHearts Global Youth Summit during COP.

All programmes are delivered free for young people, as a result of WildHearts Corporate Partners.

EDUCATION

Unemployment and low skills are some of the biggest drivers of poverty, exacerbating big issues such as homelessness, crime, and poor educational performance. We recognise that education has a pivotal role in improving lives, reducing poverty, and improving the overall prosperity of society.

At WildHearts, we are committed to addressing inequality of opportunity and ensuring that every student has access to quality education. Through our multi-award winning WildHearts Schools Programme, our goal is to level the playing field, ensuring inclusive and equal opportunities for the next generation, regardless of their background.

We provide access to free, world-class education, providing our people with a unique combination of Inspiration, Knowledge and Networks. Our goal? To inspire the leaders our world deserves.

EMPLOYABILITY

At WildHearts, we are determined to make society a more equal place for the next generation. A great imbalance currently exists in the opportunities available to young people based on where they live. In poor areas, 25% of young people are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) by age 16 compared to only 1% in more affluent areas, we want to change this.

We raise the aspirations of young people by providing employability training in partnership with leading UK employers. By participating in our programmes, young people are empowered with key employability skills and behaviours.

We deliver employability workshops, ensuring young people have a better understanding of key employability skills, and parents feel more prepared to support their child’s future career choices.

MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is one of the biggest crises facing young people today, with 20% of young people aged 5–16 suffering from a diagnosable mental health disorder.

In response to this crisis, we are working with leading mental health experts to make their expertise widely available to young people. Our goal is to empower young people to look after their mental well-being and to equip parents and teachers with the training and knowledge necessary to offer support.

To achieve this goal, we provide free year-round training and support mental health and wellbeing webinars for teenagers, parents and carers. We have also provide teachers with access to an online training programme to enhance their understanding and ability to support their students.
