Welcome to the WildHearts Careers and Employability Toolkit

The WildHearts Careers & Employability Toolkit will give young people the opportunity to broaden their career horizons through interactive assemblies, lesson plans and workshops developed with leading global brands. The bite-sized resources will;

  • Inspire, equip and prepare students for the world of work.
  • Help widen the career curriculum whilst fulfilling the Gatsby Benchmarks (England) and The Careers Education Standard (Scotland) – recommendations set out by the Government.
  • Gain direct insight into the career opportunities and advice available from leading global brands.

Career Assemblies

Introduce students to the World of Work by delivering your own Career Assembly from the 7th to 11th March. There are 2 to select from; one for Junior year groups and one for Senior year groups. This is a great opportunity to inform and inspire students whilst encouraging them to think about their future. These 10-minute assemblies are all pre-recorded and ready to just click and play – they can be delivered virtually or in-person.

Junior Career Lesson Plan

This 45-minute interactive lesson plan has been developed in partnership with industry experts and career leads to help students broaden their career horizons. The lesson plans include useful links for students to investigate as part of their career journey – please make sure these are displayed on the Smartboard or that students have access to a device.

Careers with Purpose Interviews

This 20-minute podcast will show what careers with purpose look like and how students can pursue them. Students will receive insights from senior leaders from leading companies, about how they are addressing societal and environmental challenges, locally and globally, through their job roles.
